Image 3- East River and Ward's Island

Three boats are pictured passing below an elevated railroad bridge. One side of the river is labeled “Brooklyn, N.Y.”, the other is “Wards Island ship lanting plaes” (Ward’s Island ship landing place). Text at the upper left corner reads “Esth river New York ship transport to Boston State Lang Island. Fort Lowren Brigge elevator realway 1920”.
